Get SeymourPills
SeymourPills is an iPhone app. The App Store link will appear here at launch. Until then, thank you for your patience; we are a small nonprofit and we ship carefully, especially for a medical app.
Contact us
The fastest way to reach us is inside the app: open Settings → Feedback, and you can send a message and get a reply without leaving SeymourPills. You can also email us:

We read everything. Please do not include sensitive personal or medical details in an email; a general description of the problem is enough for us to help.
Common questions
Is SeymourPills free?
Yes. The core is free forever: bottle scanning, reminders, the pill counter, refills, and supplement tracking. An optional one-time $19 Advanced Unlock adds the FDA label tools (symptom lookup, overlapping side effects, boxed warnings, Appointment Mode, and Beam My Meds). There is no subscription.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The reminder and counter core works fully offline. The only things that use the network are the one-time reference-database download for the Advanced tools and the optional Feedback message, and neither sends anything about your medicines.
How do I set up a medicine by scanning?
Tap add, choose whether you are scanning a prescription bottle or a vitamin or supplement (this only decides where to aim the camera), and point it at the bottle. SeymourPills reads the details and shows them on a large confirm screen. Nothing is saved until you confirm, so you can correct anything before it is stored.
Why did the app ask me to turn the bottle around?
A prescription bottle prints the drug name on its front label, but a vitamin or supplement is usually identified by the barcode on its back. If you are scanning a supplement, aiming at the barcode is what lets the app recognize it, so it may ask you to turn the bottle around.
How reliable are the reminders?
SeymourPills uses your phone's local notifications, which are reliable but not guaranteed; they can be delayed or missed if your phone is off, silenced, or in a low-power state. For a dose you cannot afford to miss, please treat the app as a helpful backstop, not your only system. See our guide on ways to remember your pills.
How do I restore the Advanced Unlock on a new phone?
Open the Advanced tab and tap Restore Purchases. The one-time unlock is tied to your Apple ID, so it restores on any device signed in with the same account at no extra cost.
What happens to my data?
It stays on your phone. Your medicines, doses, scans, and schedule never leave the device. The only thing ever sent is an optional Feedback message with your LifetimeLogin ID, and it never carries anything medical. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.
SeymourPills supports your routine; it is not medical advice and does not replace your pharmacist or doctor. For a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.
