In one sentence: SeymourPills runs entirely on your phone, and your medicines, doses, scans, and schedule never leave your device, because no part of the app sends them. There is exactly one exception, Feedback, it is opt-in, and it never carries anything medical.

What we collect

Almost nothing. SeymourPills has no account, no login, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party tracking, and no crash-reporting SDK. Your medication list, dose history, bottle scans, reminder schedule, and refill counts are stored only on your device. We never receive them, because there is no code path in the app that sends them anywhere.

The one exception: Feedback

If, and only if, you choose to use the in-app Feedback feature, a small amount of information is sent so a human at Founderstowne can write back to you inside the app. Using Feedback is entirely optional. If you never use it, the app makes no network calls of this kind at all.

When you do use Feedback, exactly two things are sent to a Founderstowne server, and nothing else:

  • The words you type into the message box. This is treated as user content, and it is linked to your identifier below so a reply can reach you. It is never used for tracking, never sold, and never shared with a third party.
  • Your LifetimeLogin ID (LLuID), an identifier you paste in by hand. It is a return address so the reply can find its way back to you. It is not an account, it unlocks nothing, and it can be cleared in Settings at any time.
What is never sent, ever: your name, your email address, any medication, any dose, any scan, any schedule, any diagnostic, and any device identifier. The app never attaches app state or context to a message to "help" us. If you did not type it, it does not go. If you type a drug name into the message box yourself, that is your choice; the app never adds one for you.

No network call for Feedback happens until you tap Send.

The reference database download

The FDA and NIH label reference used by the Advanced tools is downloaded once, on demand, from Apple's content delivery network the first time you use a feature that needs it. That download requests public reference data and sends nothing about you. Your medicines are matched against it locally, on your device.

Tracking

SeymourPills does not track you across apps or websites, and it contacts no tracking domains. There is no advertising identifier use, no analytics identifier, and no cross-app profile.

Data you can delete

Your medication data lives on your device; deleting the app removes it. Your LLuID can be cleared in Settings at any time, which stops it being sent with any future Feedback message. If you have sent Feedback and want the messages associated with your LLuID removed from our side, contact us at the address on the support page.

Children

SeymourPills is a general-audience medical utility and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information for advertising or profiling from anyone.

Who we are

SeymourPills is made by the Founderstowne Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We do not run on your data. Questions about this policy can go to the support page.

This policy describes the SeymourPills iOS app as shipped. If a future version changes what is sent, this page and the app's on-device disclosures will be updated together, and material changes will be dated here.
